C4ISR Center of Excellence

As part of a tri-venture, Grunley designed and constructed a new state-of-the-art research and technology campus comprised of nine-buildings totaling 1.6 million square feet. The complex features laboratories, executive meeting and conference rooms, private offices and open area workstations, classrooms, a media center, auditorium, a wellness center and a visual and performing arts area. One of the nine buildings we constructed - Building A - is a 242,000 SF 3-story laboratory building, complete with research laboratories, an anechoic chamber and communication laboratories. The project also included an extensive site and utility package. The project earned LEED NC 2.2 Certified status and received several awards, including:

  • BIM Merit Award, 2011, Associated General Contractors of Metropolitan Washington
