Grunley, in a joint venture with GCS Sigal, completed a contract with the DC Department of General Services for the design and complete renovation of the historic Dorothy Height Elementary School in Northwest D.C. The project scope included a new addition that connects the main building to the annex. Now complete, the school provides 93,000 SF of modernized learning space for grades PK3-5. The design-build project achieved LEED Platinum certification and will be seeking International Living Future Institute's Zero Energy Building certification.
