Fire/Life Safety

Grunley completed improvements and repairs to the Center's fire and life safety systems in 18 buildings as well as several underground connector tunnels, with major upgrades occurring in six buildings. This project entailed both design and construction services to achieve full fire protection goals; improve life safety; and reduce risk to occupants and the buildings. The historic fabric of the facilities will be protected and preserved with close coordination with the GSA Historic Preservation Officer. The facility remained fully functional while systems were upgraded with minimal disruption to agency work.
