IRS Enterprise Computing Center

IRS Enterprise Computing Center

New Addition

Grunley constructed a new two-story, 51,600 square foot mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) plant addition adjacent to the existing Enterprise Computing Center (ECC). The ECC is a high-security facility that houses several U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) programs, activities, and senior level executives. The project required complex phasing and sequencing plans to assure critical facility operations were maintained at all times with no loss of redundancy. BIM technology was used extensively for the preparation of shop drawings, coordination drawings and as-built drawings.
