Lower Level Renovation

Grunley reconfigured the lower level of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. The work included upgrading access from the exterior; updating exhibit space, the bookstore, and restrooms; and replacing infrastructure/ utilities. The project also involved modernizing the existing hydraulic elevator, raising the floor level at the elevator lobby by four inches, and creating two ramps to create an accessible route to the chamber level and the portico level from the elevator lobby.
