Modernization
Grunley modernized this 565,000 square foot, 12-story federal office building while the facility remained partially occupied. The Lafayette Building is a National Historic Landmark. The modernization provided energy efficient building systems, modern office spaces, window blast screens and a refurbished exterior façade and bronze and steel windows. The project is seeking a Gold rating under the LEED© New Construction and Major Renovations standard.
