Mount Daniel Elementary School

Expansion

Grunley demolished a significant portion of the existing school and performed 22,000 SF of renovations and construction of a new 64,000 SF addition. The primary purpose of the expansion was to reduce overcrowding at Mount Daniel and the nearby Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. In addition, Mount Daniel was brought up to current ADA and life safety standards. On November 4, 2014, Falls Church voters overwhelmingly approved (67% to 33%) the use of bonds to finance the project which significantly increased enrollment for the school.
