TSA Operational Testing Facility

TSA Operational Testing Facility

Interior Build-Out

This 130,000 square foot design-build project was performed within an existing post office building. It required gutting the existing offices, demolishing mezzanine space and structure and constructing new office space, along with a two-story open bay space for baggage handling testing systems infrastructure. The tenant is the Transportation Security Agency (TSA). The work included two garage areas with loading docks for vehicles to access the facility and transport the baggage screening systems infrastructure. Grunley was the construction contractor for the baggage handling system design-build integrator, Vic Thompson Company.
