Exterior Renovation

Grunley renovated the historic headquarters building’s exterior envelope by cleaning and repointing all limestone and brick facades; waterproofing the balustrade, stylobate, pediments, and cornices; repairing the brick masonry walls; replacing the plaster clad walls and all roofs except at the paved terrace area on the 7th floor level; infilling several penetrations in the upper roofs with concrete slabs including the ventilation well; repairing, refinishing and sealing all windows including installation of blast resistant window film; replacing façade lighting fixtures to match current systems; installing roof tie-offs at the east and north facades; and adding a green roof and terrace on the main roof level.
