Restoration and Partial Modernization

Grunley performed structural interior and exterior restorations as well as MEP system repairs and modernizations to this federal office building. The 17-story facility houses numerous federal agencies and remained occupied during the construction. Specifically, we replaced the roof in 36 distinct areas; installed a new green roof on the fourth floor (the second largest in the City of Philadelphia); performed masonry restoration; and repaired/replaced ~900 windows. The MEP work consisted of installing new boilers, a boiler feed water tank and associated piping in the basement. Landscaping improvements included replacing existing shrubs and cleaning and repairing granite planters, benches and curbs.
