University of Maryland, Baltimore Campus South Substation

Grunley has been awarded an $15 million task order under the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s (UMB) CMAR On-Call IDIQ contract to deliver preconstruction and construction services for a new two-story substation facility. Located on the UMB campus, the new South Substation will be outfitted with standard MEP systems along with integrated telecommunications, access control, and fire alarm systems tied into the Southern Management Campus Center’s Fire Command Center. The scope also includes campus and city infrastructure upgrades to support the new facility and broader university operations. Once the South Substation is complete, fully coordinated with the existing North Substation, and successfully tested, Grunley will decommission and demolish the outdated gear at the Greene Street Substation.
